1. Application's Shortcut

The application’s shortcut will be established once you have installed the software. Or You can bring back the shortcut by choosing Send To--Desktop (create shortcut) by right clicking on Quran-Search-Engine which is on Start--Program--Tamil Quran respectively. 

2 . Tamil Font

The Quran Search Engine Software has been build upon the Sarukesi Tamil font and no other reason for us to choose this particular font except the rapid availability of this font among most of the users. You can get this font either from software CD or you can download it from the following URL : www.ottrumai.net/Quran-Search-Engine/Font.

We have used Qur’an Tamil translation which is derived from  John Trust Tharjama ; we sincerely express our gratitude and deep sense of appreciation to John Trust Qur’an translation committee for their noble efforts and for providing the first Qur’an translation in our language – Jazakkallah Khair.

3. Select a Surah (Topic)

You can use our Quran-Search-Engine software as your daily reading material for reading Qur'an by choosing appropriate Surahs. You can toggle Surah's selection by selecting the appropriate surah groups which are arranged [01-23] , [24- 46] respectively.

4. Color Settings:

At present we have introduced 4 color combinations, Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. Which are displayed in the top right most corner of the screen.

5.  Recitations:

After pressing the receit button, you can hear the Sheik Saeed Al Ghamdhi's beautiful recitations for the selected Surah.

6. Index for Quick Reference:

There is an index utility in our Quran-Search-Engine Software. While clicking on Index button, you would find the index frame appear on your screen, it can guide you to navigate further. Moreover the indices which are displaying on the text area like [23:1] mean that the first verse from the 23 rd Surah.

7.  Search Option:

The state-of-the-art utility of our Quran-Search-Engine Software is the "Search" Option. While clicking Search button, the Search frame would appear on your screen and It will guide you to Search word by word.

If you need only to read the meaning of a particular Aaya from a Surah, then you first select the number of that Surah and then choose particular Aaya number from Drop down list before you press ok. The meaning will immediately appear on the pop-up window.

If you need to get a verse by certain word then, word search will help you to do this. You just type your word (by default Sarukesi Tamil Font)  / Or use available keyboard to type on the search tag, then press ok button. Kindly read our search tips for your more glance.

8. Help:

You can find inbuilt Help topics about Qur'an Search Engine Software, and you also get online help tips from the developers as well.

9.Copy right

There is NO copyright ONLY for copying, distributing and spreading the Quran-Search-Engine software. It is the obligation of each and every Muslim to learn, practice, spread and preaches the teachings of Glorious Quran.

But, to alter any of the content, recitations or redistributing the settings of Quran Search Engine software is strictly prohibited.
